I’m an office worker aiming for an annual income of 1 million dollars—call me One Million Office Worker.
This is the second discussion about my goal, focusing on the concept of time.
Up until now, I haven’t been the type to publicly declare my goal of earning 1 million dollars; rather, I’ve been the type to work diligently as an office worker, putting in considerable hard work. During this time, the concept of time has become my arch-nemesis.
While I engage earnestly in my work as an office worker, the resulting pressure (I’ve worked beyond what’s typical for quite a while) has caused me to push everything else in my personal life to the back burner. Even when it comes to investments, I take great care in my professional decisions, but due to time constraints in my personal life, I often resort to quick, risky options that lead to significant losses. I’ve thought about starting a blog like this many times, but as it’s a new area for me, I felt that proper preparation was essential before sharing my thoughts. I often came up with endless excuses for why I didn’t need to act immediately.
Furthermore, since I’m trying to create something from scratch and turn it into income, it’s easy to think that it will require a substantial amount of time and effort. I often worried about wasting that time, which resulted in me not taking any steps forward.
This time, I decided to accept my shortcomings and recognized the urgent need to earn money. I realized that experiencing the process of creating something from nothing as an office worker would elevate my skills, which has prompted me to start taking action.
As I began this journey, I watched some YouTube videos, and I found the following helpful regarding the concept of time:

I believe both videos contain a fair amount of dramatization and exaggeration, so I leave the interpretation to each individual. However, I personally found the discussion on the concept of time particularly insightful.
Both scenarios seem outrageous in terms of their timelines, yet they encourage thinking about what can be done within that framework. Even if the execution isn’t perfect, it’s about considering while you run. The speed of increasing effort toward the goal contrasts sharply with my typical office worker mindset. The idea of systematizing this approach, making it second nature, and integrating myself into that system is something I genuinely admire.
This time, I want to break free from the conventional timelines of large organizational work that an office worker typically adheres to and think about what can be done within a newly set timeline.
So, with that said, there are 230 days left until I achieve my goal of earning 1 million dollars.
