Hi, I’m an office worker aiming for an annual income of $1M —call me One Million Dollar Office Worker.
While I want to be candid, I also want to share my starting line in two ways, so you won’t think, “You’re probably just using cheats. This isn’t helpful.” Success stories found on YouTube, magazines, and elsewhere often have different starting conditions for the individuals involved, but it’s hard to gauge the extent of those differences, making it difficult to assess reproducibility.
The first starting line is financial.
The second is in terms of know-how and insights.
I believe timing is also crucial, but since I’m progressing in real-time, I think it will be clear to everyone. I’ll touch on timing when it becomes relevant.
First, the financial starting line.
This is important because time, scale, and effort can all be bought with money. The more you invest in these areas, the more you can boost your income, so I want to share my starting point in this regard.
As a full-fledged office worker, I have a stable cash flow. However, my bonuses have disappeared due to leverage losses, and I won’t have a significant amount available until next summer. Since I rely heavily on bonuses, my investment capital is now limited to my monthly cash flow, with no other existing income sources, leaving me with about 1,000 dollars to invest each month. So far, I’ve spent a few thousand yen on server costs to set up this blog.
Second, the starting line in terms of know-how and insights.
This is similar to the first point. If you can leverage your know-how and insights in a given field, you can boost your income. I have knowledge in my areas of expertise, like management and finance, but ultimately, I’m still just an office worker. I know how to stabilize and expand an existing business (like growing from $10M to $11M), but I have virtually no knowledge of creating a business from scratch. I lack corporate experience and have no insights into launching a website or attracting customers. I created this blog from scratch by watching beginner tutorials on YouTube and reading blogs about setting one up (I didn’t even know about WordPress!).
In other words, I hope you understand that I’m starting from a zero-to-one position, which is a common struggle for many office workers.
From this starting point (which I’m not even at yet), I’ll acquire what I lack and utilize what I can as an office worker to embark on this journey.
One Million Dollars Office Worker.
